Attention 5th Graders: Please publish 1 (one) literary essay about a book you read this summer, 1 (one) personal essay about your self and 1 (one) fiction free write story. These will be collected on September 8th when you enter 5th grade. In addition, keep a reading log of all the books you read this summer. It is necessary that you know all your multiplication facts for 1-12. Please review and study fractions, division and multiplication. Note to parents: Please have your child read daily over the summer, as it will support their academic progress and success in fifth grade. Additionally, have your child continue to keep a readers notebook and writer's notebook to be written in daily over the summer. I will review their entries in September. It would also benefit your child’s success in mathematics to memorize their multiplication facts for 1-12 the times table. Thank you and have a great summer.
